MergerAI is a SOC 2-compliant workspace for lean M&A teams — diligence request lists, a data room that organizes itself, deal Q&A in plain English, and AI-generated CIM drafts. Boutique banks and business brokers are the audience.
We're in as fractional CTO. The product runs on AWS serverless. The work is security and architecture judgment, plus the harder part: helping a company that has been one strong individual contributor become a distributed team that can ship without everything living in one head.
That includes rewiring how the work gets specified and built — AI-native, spec-driven development instead of tribal knowledge and ad-hoc tickets. The goal is a team that can grow without the architecture or the process collapsing under the next hire.

Deal files and CIMs are the product. SOC 2 isn't a badge on the marketing site — it's a constraint on how the stack is designed and how access is governed.
